2007/2008 Programs:
Upper Freehold/Allentown Alliance To Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse’s Grant and Program for 2007-2008
AAllentown High School Healthy Living Initiative: Drug-free events (Natural High Events) presented to all community residents, elementary and high school students.
PProblem Identification & Referral: Provides problem identification and referral services for
community residents.
Community Educational Services: Provides educational services for community residents: including providing educational presentations for parents, police, school, staff and Alliance members.
Lf LifeSavers Club Weekend Retreat: This three day retreat will consist of team building activities and the th planning of the 2007-2008 school year of prevention activities. Students will use a peer education scconscience based model to help educate the students about Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs along with tht the consequences. Four chaperones, six staff members and thirty students will participate.
S Safe Homes: Open to parents/guardians of students in grades K-12. Safe Homes is a program that en encourages parents/guardians to be involved in their children’s activities, these parents are encouraged to to sign a pledge that supports not providing alcohol in their homes or property. Bi-monthly meetings; a
ne newsletter is provided year round.
B. A.B.E.S. (Beginning Awareness Basic Education Skills): Available funding Provides BABES training for 72 total sessions for 6 kindergarten classes and 6 first grade classes. This program contains activities and learning points that are provided to parents and teachers to reinforce learning.
D Daddy/Daughter Date Night: This program is designed to open the lines of communication between
fathers and their daughters, through icebreaker activities, communication skills, food, music and
a dancing.
