Deborah S. Minnick, CADC, CJC Deborah Minnick has been involved in the substance abuse field since 1994.
At that time, she began working for a program in Mercer County called T.A.S.C (Treatment, Assessment, Screening and Counseling Center). T.A.S.C. receives court-mandated clients who are arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances or drunk driving offenses. Counseling and drug/alcohol education classes are offered to clients. After volunteering her services to the Hamilton Alliance Against Substance Abuse Committee in Hamilton Township she then became their coordinator in 1999. The Hamilton Alliance provides drug and alcohol prevention services to members of the community.
In the late 1990’s Deborah attended the Recovery Assistance Training Program that provided drug and alcohol counselor training. In 1999 Deborah became a certified alcohol and drug counselor and soon after was certified as a criminal justice counselor. She has recently taken the part-time coordinator position for the Upper Freehold/Allentown Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
Deborah feels she will be able to bring her knowledge and understanding of prevention and addiction to the alliance. The Alliance members are very fortunate and grateful to have Deborah as our coordinator, and look forward to working with her towards prevention in our community.
